Average Joe's Nose

Wines from South Africa Shine

Working out of the Wine Guideline overseas nerve center from high atop a cheap hotel in a dangerous neighborhood in Pretoria, our editor gave no thought to his personal safety and scoured the local shelves to create a concise survey of South African wines.  Assembling a panel of Average Joes was difficult in foreign surroundings, so, if the ratings are hopelessly skewed in favor of our editor’s personal taste, well, you won’t know until you taste these wines yourself! Besides, our editor has gotten to know what you like, and has made every effort to faithfully represent the Average Joe perspective.
